Pre-feasibility study done for the project
The Assam state government is offering a Rs.127 crore (US$19.54 million) terminal development on Public Private Participation (PPP) mode at Silghat, Nagaon District.
Pre-feasibility study has been done for the proposed terminal as part of the Inland Water Transport sector.
The development of terminal involves land development, creation of common infrastructure facilities, port works such as quays and trestle, bank shore protection, cargo terminal infrastructure, cargo handling equipment’s, provision of external communication networks.
