Implementing MoUs is challenge, notes Amit Shah

Home Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated and laid the foundation of various development projects worth Rs.1,271 crore by the Uttarakhand government while more than Rs.1 lakh crore worth of investments have been drawn during the ‘Uttarakhand Investment Festival – 2025’ https://www.mha.gov.in/.

He noted the state government’s new roadmap for Uttarakhand’s development, marked by transparency in policy, speed in implementation, and vision in planning https://www.commerce.gov.in/.

He applauded work done by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, especially Rs.3.56 lakh crore investments through MoUs secured during the 2023 Global Investors Summit held in the state https://www.conexpoconagg.com/.

“Signing MoUs is not a major achievement, implementing them on the ground is the real challenge,” he underlined, pointing out that bringing investments to landlocked and hilly regions is as challenging as climbing a mountain https://www.globaltenders.com/.

However, Chief Minister Dhami, despite all adverse circumstances and by breaking traditional perceptions, has successfully brought in investments exceeding Rs.1 lakh crore in the state, and that would create more than 81,000 jobs in the state, Shah said on 19 July.

Importantly, these investments have reached even Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. He emphasized that industrial growth in the state has been pursued while maintaining a balance with environmental sustainability https://ted.europa.eu/en/.

Additionally, it is estimated that ancillary industries will generate around 2.5 lakh new employment opportunities, added Shah, who is also the Minister of Cooperation https://www.nseindia.com/.

He also highlighted the importance of rivers flowing through Uttarakhand to provide drinking water and irrigation to nearly half of India, sustaining life https://www.bseindia.com/.

“Uttarakhand offers a unique confluence of nature and culture,” he added on 19 July. fiinews.com
