NALCO installs de-dusting system
Ducon Technologies India (DTIPL), the Company under amalgamation with Ducon Infratechnologies Limited (BSE:534674, NSE:DUCON), has completed a de-dusting system project for National Aluminum Company Ltd (NALCO) in Angul, Orissa.
DTIPL secured the two-year project through a national competitive bidding process.
Its scope included design, engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of the entire de-dusting system for the smelter plant, rodding shop and butt handling plant.
The de-dusting system is to maintain clean working environment and comply with the standards of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001.
With the installation, the Ducon’s de-dusting system has reduced the dust concentration in the plant to 5 mg/Nm3 and the stack emission to 30 mg/Nm3, thereby allowing NALCO to comply with the regulations of both central and state pollution control boards for overall pollution control for both surface and air.
Commenting on the developing, Aron Govil, Chairman of DTIPL and Ducon Infratechnologies, said, “This installation was one of the most challenging jobs for us as it had to be carried out in an operating smelter.” fii-news.com
