The National Capital Regional Planning Board (NCRPB) has approved Regional & Sub-Regional Plans in the National Capital Region which includes funding of projects at an affordable rate by raising through bonds from the market or taking loans from bilateral/multilateral agencies.
This was disclosed on 29 Sept 2020 by Durga Shanker Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs at the launch of Project Management Information System (P-MIS), a major step in using digital and mobile technology to improve transparency & accountability in monitoring the progress of projects and administering loans.
He said NCRPB has sanctioned over Rs.15,000 crore loan in over Rs.31,000 crore worth of projects, adding that 265 Projects of more than Rs.18,500 crore are complete and rest are under construction.
“P-MIS will bring ease in review and management of projects and provide information and opportunity to give feedback to the citizens,” he pointed out
P-MIS has been developed in-house by NCRPB and has been hosted on NIC Server.
Explaining the features of the software, Mishra said that the P-MIS is having a unique feature of doing calculations at the back end for monitoring various financial critical events for Guarantee validity date and a monthly repayment of loan due date for each IA and generates alert for Guarantee Renewal and Payment of Loan in soft format i.e. email in advance.
Another feature of the software is that it checks the adequacy of guarantee and in case the guarantee falls short of requirement, P-MIS issues auto-mail and informs the Finance Officer of NCRPB. #loans #bonds #banks #portal #online #projects #infrastructure /fiinews.com
