Middlesex company seek strategic Indian partner
Middlesex-based TMD Technologies Ltd aims to start manufacturing in India in the coming years, supplying to both the domestic and export markets.
“We are looking to manufacturing in India for both Indian end users and potentially for our customers located globally,” Nigel Hann, Head of Sales at TMD, said at the Farnborough Air Show 2018.

“Initially, we are looking into hi-tech chassis assemblies and printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing and assembly,” he told Foreign Investors on India (fiinews.com).
“Ultimately, perhaps we will do more sub-assemblies on a larger scale,” said Hann, adding that the company is seeking a strategic partner.
Hann has expressed strong interests in the high-growth Indian economy and New Delhi’s healthy defence budget, especially for investment in technologies and innovative solutions.
He also noted the Indian manufacturers’ keen interests in forming strategic partnerships with foreign manufacturers especially looking for high-end long-life designs.
TMD would be keen to have designs of its components done in India, he added.
Hann underlined TMD’s expansion strategies: “We are an export-oriented company and India presents us with opportunities.”
TDM expects its Indian production base to generate 20% of its global revenue over the next 10 to 20 years.
TMD is a worldwide provider of ultra reliable technologically advanced equipment for radar, EW, communications, EMC testing, scientific and medical applications.
“Our speciality is innovative, custom solutions for some of the most challenging applications in the industry,” stressed Hann.
The company offers a unique range of microwave power modules, travelling wave tubes, high voltage power supplies, rugged and instrumentation amplifiers for radar, EW, comms and EMC, scientific and medical applications across air, land and sea platforms. fiinews.com
