Almadi drives technological progress for India’s Net Zero ambitions

VNT (Vrinda Nano Technologies) of Hyderabad has launched the country’s first 1 MW Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger, a milestone in the Indian electric mobility landscape.

Conceptualized, designed and developed entirely in-house, this innovation represents a significant leap in ‘fast-charging’ technology and reinforces the company’s leadership in sustainable energy solutions, the company said on 27 Oct in a release from Gurgaon.

The 1 MW EV Charger is engineered to support next-generation, high-capacity electric vehicles, enabling ultra-fast charging for heavy-duty fleets, commercial vehicles, and long-haul transport applications. With this breakthrough, VNT further strengthens its commitment to advancing India’s EV infrastructure and accelerating the nation’s transition toward clean, efficient, and reliable transportation.

A hallmark of this charger is its High efficiency, Dynamic Load Balancing, and intelligent energy management system, which together minimize energy loss during charging while maximizing performance and reducing operational costs.

Commenting on the launch, VNT Managing Director & Chairman Dr Vikas Almadi said, “The introduction of India’s first 1 MW EV charger marks a defining moment for the country’s EV ecosystem. At VNT, we remain dedicated to driving technological progress that supports India’s Net Zero ambitions and builds a self-reliant, sustainable future.”

Rahul Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, VNT, added, “This breakthrough underscores VNT’s strong R&D capabilities and our focus on delivering world class solutions for the evolving mobility landscape. The 1 MW charger’s high efficiency and dynamic load management system redefine the standards of performance and reliability in EV charging infrastructure.”

With this launch, VNT continues to innovate across the energy and mobility sectors, developing solutions that make the world ‘Greener. Connected. Protected’. Fiinews.com
