PM notes global investors interest in India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has told heads of States to utilise opportunities and make it easy for investments, especially the trade agreements with the UAE, UK and Australia https://www.commerce.gov.in/.

Global investors are hugely interested in India, he added, encouraging the States to leverage their manufacturing strengths especially under the Government’s Manufacturing Mission https://www.bseindia.com/.
He called on the States to plan for various skills which are attuned to modern technologies like AI, Semiconductor, 3D printing.
“We can become the Skill Capital of the world because of our demographic dividend,” said the Prime Minister, pointing out the Rs.60,000 crore scheme for skilling https://www.nseindia.com/.
“States must focus on modern training infrastructure and rural training hubs to enhance Skilling,” said PM Modi, citing cyber security as a challenge as well as an opportunity.”
Hydrogen and Green Energy offer immense potential and opportunities, he underlined at the meeting.
Addressing Chief Ministers and Lt. Governors representing 24 States and 7 UTs, PM Modi pointed out that the G20 Summit has helped India to be recognised as a global tourist destination.
He told the States to leverage on the opportunity in the tourism sector and develop at least one tourist destination of global standards and expectations. He said that 25-30 such tourist destinations can be created across India http://unwto.org.
The PM observed that India is urbanising rapidly, and called on the States to make cities the engine of sustainability and growth, especially Tier-2 and -3 cities.

PM encouraged the States to Interlink Rivers within States to battle water scarcity as well as floods.
He appreciated Bihar which has recently started Kosi-Mochi connection grid, and noted the success of Aspirational Districts Programme through collective efforts.
“In agriculture, we must focus on lab to land,” said PM Modi, announcing that about 2,500 scientists will go to villages and Rural Centres in the coming days during which they will deliberate on topics such as crop diversification and chemical-free farming.
