Land allotment to industries has started through SPVs, says Minister
The Government has sanctioned and approved eight National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) projects, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Parkash said in reply to a parliamentary question on 8 Feb 2023.
Major trunk infrastructure works have been completed in four of these eight projects. These are Dholera Special Investment Region in Gujarat, Shendra Bidkin Industrial Area in Maharashtra, Integrated Industrial Township in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and Integrated Industrial Township, Vikram Udyogpuri, in Madhya Pradesh.
The land allotment has started to industries and other users through the Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) formed with respective State Governments.
A total of 229 plots measuring nearly 1,601 acres have been allotted to companies with an investment of more than Rs.18,691 crore in these 4 greenfield smart industrial regions, nodes and areas.
Apart from the above-allotted plots, approx. 4,900 acres of developed land parcels are available for immediate allotment across multiple uses.
The other 4 approved projects are in various stages of implementation and development.
The status of these projects is given as below:
Tumakuru Node in Karnataka under Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC) – EPC contractor for the construction of trunk infrastructure has been appointed. Detailed master planning and preliminary engineering activities for an area of 1,736 acres as an activation area have been completed. Environment Clearance has been obtained. The State Government has transferred 1,668.30-acre land to the SPV of the project.
Detailed Master Planning and Preliminary Design and Engineering of the total project area of 12,798-acre has been completed in the Krishnapatnam Node in Andhra Pradesh under CBIC. A 2,500-acre area has been identified as Phase-1 area. The State Government has transferred 2,139.15 acres to the project SPV. Environment Clearance has been obtained.
Works related to water, power and roads have been almost completed in the Integrated Multi Modal Logistics Hub at Nangal Chaudhary in Haryana under Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). Rail connectivity works, approved by DFCCIL, have been started.
A total of 227.48-ha land has been transferred to the SPV in the Multi-Modal Logistics-Transport Hub at Dadri in Uttar Pradesh under DMIC. Project development activities like preparation and approval of Detailed Project Reports (DPR) have been started.
Funds for the following projects were released on 31 Jan 2023 to SPVs.

Integrated Industrial Township – Vikram Udyogpuri (IIT-VUL), Madhya Pradesh – Equity of Rs.55.93 crore and debt of Rs.260.54 crore;
Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub – Nangal Chaudhary, Haryana – Equity or Rs.208.05 crore and debt of Rs.100.00 crore;
Multi Modal Logistics Hub & Multi Modal Transport Hub (MMLH & MMTH), Uttar Pradesh – Equity of Rs.853.05 crore;
Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC) Krishnapatnam Industrial Area, Andhra Pradesh – Equity of Rs.533.86 crore;
