Home Minister inaugurates 82 projects, lays foundations stones for 181
The Rs.4,287 crore Kiru Hydroelectric project is progressing, Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said on 4 Oct 2022 while inaugurating projects in Jammu & Kashmir.
The 624 MW project, a run-of-the-river scheme over Chenab in Kishtwar, is being developed by Chenab Valley Power Projects (CVPP), a joint venture between National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC, 49%), Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC, 49%) and Power Trading Corporation (PTC, 2%).
Also, work will start soon Rs.2,793 crore Shahpur Kundi Dam and the Rs.11,908 crore Poonch power project, said Shah who inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 263 development projects worth Rs.1,960 crore in Jammu.
He inaugurated 82 projects of around Rs.500 crore and laid the foundation stones for 181 projects of around Rs.1,460 crore. fiinews.com
