Goh notes Pillai’s contribution to Singapore-India relations
The memoirs of Singapore’s former diplomat and businessman Gopinath Pillai, who had invested in a logistics company in India, was launched on 27 Aug 2022 by Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
Goh noted that Pillai as a businessman had contributed to Singapore-India relations through his ground-breaking entrepreneurship with logistics company Gateway Distriparks Ltd (GDL) in 1994.
“He invested successfully in bureaucratic India soon after it opened its economy,” underlined Goh.
