Modi advises corporate world to take the golden opportunity to invest in the agriculture sector
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for 1,406 projects worth more than Rs.80,000 crores at the “Ground Breaking Ceremony @3.0 of the UP Investors Summit” in Lucknow on 3 June 2022, underlining that a new culture of delivering projects on time has developed in the country
The projects encompass diverse sectors like Agriculture and Allied, IT and Electronics, MSME, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Pharma, Tourism, Defence & Aerospace, Handloom & Textiles among others.
The ceremony was attended by top industry leaders of the country. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh joined the ceremony.
PM Modi laid emphasis on Policy Stability, Emphasis on Coordination, Emphasis on Ease of Doing Business and illustrated about the reforms that are uniting the entire country as one nation.
He highlighted the allocation of unprecedented capital expenditure of Rs.7.50 lakh crore in this year’s budget and the announced 5-km chemical-free natural farming corridor on both the banks of Ganga which will create huge opportunities for natural farming.
Modi also told the corporate world that now is the golden opportunity to invest in the agriculture sector.
The Prime Minister termed the defence corridor in UP as a harbinger of new opportunities.
Steps like modern PowerGrid, gas pipeline, multi model connectivity, record number of expressways, strengthening of connectivity of economic zones, modern railway infrastructure, Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridor all are converging in Uttar Pradesh with a promise of giving a new push to the development of Uttar Pradesh, Modi stressed.
The UP Investors Summit 2018 was held on 21-22 February 2018, with the first Ground Breaking Ceremony being held on 29 July 2018 and second Ground Breaking Ceremony on 28 July 2019. During the first Ground Breaking Ceremony, foundation of 81 projects worth more than Rs.61,500 crore was laid, while in the second Ground Breaking Ceremony, foundation of 290 projects with investments of more than Rs.67,000 crore was laid. fiinews.com
