Cost will not increase as Metro is part of Master Plan, says Kishore
The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for a loop corridor in the Central Vista, covering works such as platform for underground metro, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishore said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha on 31 Mar 2022.
DMRC, with the contract signed on 28 Feb 2022, will be responsible for planning and execution of system works of Underground Metro in the Redevelopment of Central Vista, New Delhi, including civil finishing works of platform (excluding basic civil structure) for and on behalf of CPWD.
This will not result in an increase of the expected cost of the Central Vista project as the Metro connectivity is a part of the overall Master Plan for development and redevelopment of Central Vista, he said.
All applicable norms prescribed by Central Pollution Control Board are being followed in the works related to development and redevelopment of Central Vista, he said. fiinews.com
