US-funded Bengaluru-based Edtech works in 7+ countries
Codeyoung, a US-funded Indian Edtech startup dedicated to introducing Coding to K12 students, has been able to generate massive traction in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by engaging over 8,000 students within a span of a few months with its innovative coding programs and highly trained mentors.
Codeyoung, funded by US-based firm Guild Capital, enjoys high organic referrals and has witnessed exponential organic growth in the country. Parents are flocking to get their children enrolled, making the best use of vacations. Codeyoung has also been accredited by reputed US-based organization, STEM.ORG
Founded in 2019 by Shailendra Dhakad and Rupika Taneja, the Bengaluru-based startup currently works in 7+ countries and offers Coding Programs customized for kids from age 6 to age 17. Their curriculum extends beyond the drag and drop environment and focuses on developing creative confidence among kids by teaching them coding suited for creating projects.
“We believe coding offers some excellent learning opportunities for kids which is not limited to just STEM learning but develops broad problem solving and thinking skills among kids,” Shailendra Dhakad, co-founder of Codeyoung, said in a release on 9 Aug 2021.

Hrishabh, a 10-year-old boy based in Dubai, took his passion for music to a new level. Equipped with new confidence from coding lessons, he developed a music app, one of the many interesting projects he undertook. He has also won many contests run by Codeyoung.
Elizah Waheed, a 7-year-old girl from Dubai, decided to make playtime more fun by developing some engaging games that she and her friends enjoy playing. Elizah has been learning with Codeyoung for over 6 months now. She is pleased by her newfound confidence and trying her hand at other skills too.
Advait Bhojanagarwala, another kid from Dubai who has been learning with Codeyoung for 6 months and is developing new problem-solving skills with the help and support of his trainers at Codeyoung.
It comes as no surprise that Codeyoung has a repeat enrollment rate of 60% from kids and parents in the UAE. With a robust product offering, their strategy to acquire loyal customers by organic word-of-mouth growth is working well for them.
