PM Modi says endeavour to build urban centres
Projects worth US$30 billion have been prepared for the 100 Smart Cities while US$20 billion of projects have been completed or are nearing completion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has told the 3rd Annual Bloomberg New Economy Forum today via video conferencing on 17 Nov 2020.
Giving updates on developments, he said the Government is on track to deliver close to 1,000-km of Metro Rail system in the country by 2022.
He informed the forum about the recent initiatives for revitalizing the Indian urban landscape such as Digital India, Startup India, affordable housing, Real Estate (Regulation) Act and Metro Rail in 27 cities.
Modi invited the investors to invest in the multi-billion-dollar Indian urbanization programmes.
