Gadkari lays foundation stone of Tripura highways
Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has laid the foundation stones of nine National Highway projects worth over Rs.2,752 crore in Tripura on 27 Oct 2020.
The 262-km projects, on completion, will give impetus to the GDP of the state of Tripura and will provide faster and hassle-free inter-state and international connectivity to Bangladesh.
The Projects include:
Jolaibari-Belonia of NH-108A, length 21.4 km, cost Rs.201.99 crore.
Kailashahar-Kumarghat of NH-208, length 18.60-km, cost Rs.277.50 crore.
Khayerpur to Amtali (Agartala bypass) of NH-08, length 12.90-km, cost Rs.147 crore.
Agartala–Khowai of NH-108B (03 packages), length 38.80-km, cost Rs.480.19 crore.
Kailashahar to Kurti bridge of NH-208A (03 packages), length 36.46-km, cost Rs.473.49 crore.
Manu-Simlung of NH-44A (02 packages), length 36.54-km, cost Rs.595.12 crore.
RCC Bridge over river Muhuri & RCC Bridge over river Gomati (2 bridges), cost Rs.83.06 crore.
Strengthening of Churaibari-Agartala section with paved shoulder of NH-08, length 74.85-km, cost Rs.257.96 crore.
Geometric improvement on Churaibari-Agartala section of NH-44, length 21.789-km, cost Rs.236.18 crore.
