Opportunities in food sector highlighted
Italian Food and Equipment related companies should venture into the Indian markets to expand their global outreach, said Minister for Food Processing Industries Harsimrat Kaur Badal
Badal has emphasized the potential of the Indian market and highlighted opportunities in segments such as ready to eat, frozen food, superfood, nutraceuticals among others.
She pointed out that India, also known as the world’s fruit and vegetable basket, offers ample opportunities for sourcing raw material, especially for countries that are looking to re-align their supply chains and,
India also offers one of the fastest-growing markets for finished processed food products, she told the Digital Indo-Italian Business Mission on Food Processing’ held virtually on 15 July 2020.
Twenty-three Italian companies participated in the two-day Digital Mission’s virtual exhibition showcasing their products & services as well as Business (B2B) Meetings with the end-users and other industry players in India.
