The National Institute of Transformation of India (NITI) Aayog has proposed a Rs.7,500 crore Artificial Intelligence (AI) plan for the country, US$957 billion to the Gross Domestic Product by 2035, the Economics Times reported on, 19 May 2019, citing a senior government official.
AIRAWAT, a cloud computing platform that could increase annual economic growth by 1.3 percentage points by 2035, will require the investment over three years with a high-level task force for the AI implementation for use in education, health, agriculture, urbanization and mobility.
NITI Aayog proposal has planned five research centres and 20 AI adoption centres, according to the online Economic Times.
The planning institute had released a national strategy for AI in June last year. fiinews.com
