Seventeen stations to be built

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved 205.5-km line between Budni to Indore (Mangaliyagaon), estimated to cost Rs.3,261.82 crore.
The project will reduce travel time from Indore to Jabalpur as well as from Indore to Mumbai by 68-km.
The line, with electrification, will take off from existing yard of Budni and will connect at Mangaliyagaon existing station of Western Railway near Indore.
Ten crossing stations and seven halt stations are to be constructed on the route, serving Sehore, Dewas and Indore districts¸ bypassing the congested route of Bhopal-Itarsi including Ghat section from Budni to Berkheda. fiinews.com
