Belagavi facility to support exports
All Metal Services is set to export to the South East Asian markets from its new facility at Belagavi which began production on 18 July 2018.
“The new facility will be catering to both the Indian and South Asian markets,” said Lee Bridges, operations manager of All Metal Services, at the Farnborough Air Show held 16-22 July 2018.
“We have been in Bangalore since 2008 supplying to Indian customers basic raw materials made of aluminum, steel and titanium. Now we have expanded our presence in Asia with the Belagavi facility,” he said.
The 41,000 sq ft facility, in the Belagavi economic zone near Goa, supplies cut to size aluminum, steel and titanium parts for the aerospace industry. It is currently handling approximately 800 tons a year in plates, sheets, extrusion and bars.
“Eventually, the facility will produce up to 3,000 tons of cut to size pieces for our customers in India and Southeast Asia,” he said. This will help reduce delivery time from the United Kingdom and enable customers in India to experience supply.
All Metal has a strong customer base in India.
“Our customers are industry heavyweights involved in industrial manufacturing,” said Bridges. fiinews.com
