Senet-SenRa’s partnership offers IoT solutions
The Internet of Things (IoT) solutions adoption is being accelerated throughout India, says an industry executive.
“We look forward to growing our partnership with SenRa as the adoption of IoT solutions continues to accelerate throughout India,” said Bruce Chatterley, CEO & President at Senet, which has formed a partnership with SenRa Tech Pvt Ltd.
“SenRa’s success in deploying and expanding their LoRaWAN network across India is a great example of how Senet’s OSS and BSS platforms can reduce operator resource requirements and cost, while improving time-to-market and accelerating time-to-revenue,” he elaborated on expanding into the Indian market.
The parntership relates to the deployment and rapid expansion of SenRa’s LoRaWAN network.
Based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Senet is a leading provider of cloud-based software, global connectivity service platforms and network build-out for the Internet of Things (IoT).
Delhi’s SenRa is a Low-Power Wide-Area Network provider deploying LoRaWAN connectivity throughout India.
Utilizing Senet’s cloud-based Managed Network Services for IoT (MNSi™), SenRa launched its LoRaWAN connectivity services in May 2017, establishing a foothold in India’s massive IoT solutions market.
Senet’s MNSi allows network operators like SenRa to deploy LoRaWAN services on their local physical assets, such as towers and buildings, and use Senet’s Operations Support System (OSS) and Business Support System (BSS) platforms to manage the radio access network, onboard customers and facilitate business engagements while outsourcing the network management to Senet.
Leveraging Senet’s turnkey network design, consulting services and MNSi platform, SenRa initially deployed in India’s National Capital Region (NCR) and was able to begin offering branded LoRaWAN connectivity, customer support and IoT developer services in less than 90 days.
While other operators in the area continue to conduct trials and testing, SenRa has been able to deploy commercial-grade network and reduce their go-to-market by 18 to 24 months.
SenRa measured success against several criteria, including operational support, network reliability under high volume testing and the flexibility of Senet’s network management system to support future expansion on an as-needed basis.
In less than three months since launching their initial coverage in the NCR, SenRa has deployed across 10 cities throughout India, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Pune.
“With Senet’s Managed Network Services, we’ve been able to exceed our network build-out goals and quickly engage customers to help them deliver IoT solutions to one of the most populated regions of the world,” said Ali Hosseini, Chief Executive Officer of SenRa.
“The responsiveness and technical acumen of Senet’s support team has exceeded my expectations, allowing us to reduce our onboarding time for new hires and minimize issues as we aggressively deploy our network throughout India,” he said.
Now a fully operational LoRaWAN network operator, SenRa is supporting several initiatives that address environmental and sustainability issues, including collaborating with cities across India to address water scarcity, water pollution and water consumption challenges. fii-news.com
