Ministry of Shipping has called tenders for setting up timber-based industries for the Paradip Smart Industrial Port City (SIPC) which is being developed as a logistics park.

It has called E-Tender cum E-Auction for allotment of port land under SIPC Project for port-based capital intensive industries as part of the industrial part for the period of 60 years on lease basis.

It has also called tenders from various industries for 12 other plots under Paradip SIPC Project which are to be based on long-term leases.

The deepwater port is undergoing US$1.6 billion expansion to increae capacity to 250 million tonnes per annum from 127 mtpa.

The SIPC is spread over 1,600 acres, 600 acres of which are for Multi-Modal Logistics Park.
