Consultants work on ferry DPR

18 ferries to improve navigation along six cities.

Consultants are working on Detailed Project Report (DPR) for 18 ferries to be built at Varanasi, Patna, Munger, Bhagalpur, Kolkata and Haldia as part of the National Waterway 1 (NW-1).

The ferries will help improve navigation on NW-1 on River Ganga, said Minister of State for Shipping and Road Transport & Highways, Mansukh L. Mandaviya in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha on 24 July 2017.

The ferries are by Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) under the Jal Marg Vikas Project (JMVP). fii-news.com
