Reliance-Israeli platform for Indian investments.

Indian investors will get access to overseas venture capital funds through a new agreement between Israel-based OurCrowd Platform and India’s Reliance Private Client.
OurCrowd, a global leader in equity crowdfunding, has signed a strategic collaboration agreement Reliance Private Client, one of India’s leading wealth management companies and a part of Reliance Capital.
“For the first time, this agreement will allow Indian investors to access overseas venture capital funds on the OurCrowd Platform,” said OurCrowd, announcing the agreement on 7 June 2017.
OurCrowd is one of the world’s largest equity crowdfunding platforms and one of the leading investors in the increasingly dynamic Israeli startup arena.
Under the terms of the collaboration, Reliance Private Client will offer to its accredited clientele, OurCrowd’s unique startup investment products and fund offerings.

Between 2015 and 2016, the country has witnessed a 12% increase in high net worth investors and this is expected to grow at 150% over the next decade.
“OurCrowd’s strategic growth plans in Asia have been further reinforced with this valuable collaboration with Reliance Private Client in India,” said Elias Ghosalkar, Director of Corporate Development, OurCrowd.
“It will also provide greater impetus to the growing economic opportunities between Israel and India, and help nurture fruitful interactions between the two startup ecosystems,” said Ghosalkar.
Commenting on the impact of the alliance, Amrita Farmahan, Country Business Head, Reliance Private Client said: “We are excited to bring our clients this unique opportunity to access high quality and curated portfolios of deep technology enabled startups via OurCrowd’s disruptive private equity platform.
