Samsung to serve 4G LTE countrywide
South Korea’s #Samsung Electronics said its partnership with #Reliance Jio Infocomm would undertake an “Infill & Growth” project to provide 4G LTE services to 90 percent of population countrywide.
Samsung said this plan at the #Mobile World Congress 2017 in a joint partnership with Jio at Barcelona on 28 Feb 2017.
Samsung signed an agreement with Reliance Jio in 2012 to supply 4G LTE network equipment and has begun supplying the equipment since 2014.
The two companies succeeded in establishing India’s first nationwide 4G LTE network in September 2014.
Samsung Electronics was instrumental in creating the service network including the network’s installation and optimization service, as well as all infrastructure equipment such as base station, core devices, and VoLTE total solutions. fii-news.com
