Oil India Limited (OIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Houston to study the improvement of oil production from matured fields.

The MoU will cover Improved Oil Recovery & Enhanced Oil Recovery from matured fields, seismic interpretation & reservoir characterisation studies, improvement of drilling and well-intervention practices and unconventional hydrocarbon studies.

Commenting on the MoU, signed in New Delhi on Oct 5, 2016, the Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said innovation, scientific temperament and institutional hand-holding is the way forward for the growth of oil and gas sector. fii-news.com
