Ministry’s grant for cargo terminal
Airports Authority of India (AAI) is undertaking an export import cargo terminal at Tulihal, Imphal in the state of Manipur.
The Integrated Cargo Terminal will get a grant-in-aid under Trade Infrastructure for Export Scheme (TIES) of Commerce and Industry Ministry.
The proposed Integrated Cargo Terminal will help establish better connectivity with South and Southeast Asia, booting trade between India and South East Asian markets in the ASEAN group.
The ministry will grant Rs.12.96 crores under TIES for the estimated Rs.16.20 crore construction cost. AAI will meet the balance from internal sources, according to a Press Information Bureau on 11 September 2017. fii-news.com
