JSW Neo further expands into renewable energy space
The Competition Commission of India has approved the proposed acquisition of 100% shareholding by JSW Neo Energy (JEL) of Singapore-incorporated O2 Energy SG Pte Ltd and O2 Power Midco Holdings Pte Ltd which has established in renewables sector in India with substantial global backing.
O2 Power Midco Holdings Pte Ltd and O2 Energy SG Pte Ltd (collectively, referred as Targets), through their subsidiaries, are engaged in renewable power generation (wind and solar power generation).
The O2 companies are engaged in engineering design and consultancy services in energy management and clean energy systems in Singapore.
The O2 Power Midco acquisition will further bolster JSW Energy’s expansion into the renewable energy space, which has been a key focus area in recent years.
JEL is a wholly owned subsidiary of listed-JSW Energy Limited and belongs to the JSW Group. It is engaged in power generation and transmission through conventional and nonconventional sources. Fiinews.com
