Collaboration pioneering waste-to-wealth creation strategies
Hindustan Zinc (HZL), a Vedanta group company and India’s leading Zinc-Lead-Silver producer, and Bhopal’s VEXL Environ Projects Pvt Ltd (VEXL) are to establish a pilot plant for pioneering sustainable solutions through waste utilization and wealth creation.
Hindustan Zinc https://www.hzlindia.com/ CEO Arun Misra and VEXL Environ Projects Ltd MD Bhaskar Bhattar have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which underscores HZL’s unwavering commitment to a circular economy, where waste becomes a valuable resource.
As per the MoU, the plant will be converting waste products into usable resources, minimizing environmental impact, and maximizing resource.
The project focuses on utilizing waste products like jarosite and jarofix, generated during zinc extraction, for productive applications at pilot plant.
Misra said of the partnership announced on 13 Apr, “Our collaboration with VEXL Environ https://vexl.in/ Projects represents a pivotal moment in our circular economy journey.
