Rs.6,300cr 6-lane Vizag Port Highways is being approved
Efforts are being made to establish 5 Green Highways and 2 Expressways at a total cost of Rs.32,430 crore in Andhra Pradesh, Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has told the Andhra Pradesh’s Global Investment Summit 2023 at Visakhapatnam on 3 Mar 2023.
“Today, we are approving the 6-lane Vizag Port Highway on NH 16 near Bhogapuram with a length of 55-km and costing Rs.6,300 crore,” he announced.
There are currently 70 projects underway, totalLing 2,014-km and costing Rs.33,540 crore in Andhra Pradesh, he added.
Gadkari said during 2022-23 works costing Rs.15,400 crore have been awarded for a length of 777-km across 27 road projects.
Additionally, two Multimodal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) have been sanctioned in Visakhapatnam and Anantapur at a cost of Rs.1,797 crore, he said in a project updates at the summit. fiinews.com
