Minister says Rs.1,371.24 cr spent on the stations as Dec 2022
A total of 1,275 railway stations have been identified across the country including border areas for development under the recently launched Amrit Bharat Station scheme.
The stations will be modernized, upgraded and or redeveloped under Plan Head-53 Customer Amenities, Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw said in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha on 8 Feb 2023.
He also pointed out that Rs.2.699.98 crore was allocated in 2022-23, out of which Rs.1,371.24 crore has been spent by the end of Dec 2022.
Comparatively, Rs.2,344.5 crore was allocated in 2021-22 with Rs.1,995.75 crore spend by the end of Dec 2021. fiinews.com
