Facility’s R&D will work on eco-friendly packaging solutions
Indore’s PackUniverse International will be investing $6 million in the first phase construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ontario to produce integrated export and domestic packaging solutions for the Canadian manufacturing industry.
Navjot Singh Tuteja, Director of PackUniverse International Inc. and Vic Fedeli, Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development and Trade made the announcement on 26 Dec 2020 during the Minister’s virtual trade mission to India.
PackUniverse has chosen to locate operations in Ontario because of the province’s culturally diverse eco-system, and supportive corporate environment, said the company in a release.
“Ontario is a prime destination for international investment and we are thrilled PackUniverse has chosen the province as the location for its first global facility,” Minister Vic Fedeli said.
“Ontario is home to a unique manufacturing ecosystem with a highly skilled workforce and competitive business costs. Strategic investments like this highlight the importance of the Ontario-India partnership to strengthen our respective economies,” said Fedeli.
The facility will also boost R&D for eco-friendly packaging solutions in the province, the company said.
