CTO Welch address InnoPack

Phillips Midsize

Phillips-Medisize, a Molex company, is actively expanding its footprint in India and will have a major exhibiting and speaking presence at the 8th Annual InnoPack Pharma Confex to be held 21-22 May in Mumbai.

By creating its Global Innovation and Development (GID) center in Bangalore, Phillips-Medisize is committed to building a healthcare focused team within the well-established Molex capabilities already in place there.

This will help better support customers in the region as they work on developing more intelligent drug delivery solutions, said the company in a release on 15 May 2019.

“The added focus on healthcare in our India-based office, hiring of a senior business development director and continued investment in staff demonstrates our dedication to providing the right expertise, solutions and services that make a difference to our valued customers and their patients,” said Matt Jennings, CEO and President of Phillips-Medisize.

“We are thrilled to participate for the second year at InnoPack and anticipate continued success in this promising market,” added Jennings added.

As an established global leader, Phillips-Medisize provides a wide range of custom drug delivery devices, connected health solutions and end-to-end manufacturing services to Asian, European and U.S. pharmaceutical companies and is actively expanding its footprint in India.

Bill Welch, Chief Technology Officer will lead Phillips-Medisize at InnoPack Pharma Confex.

On 21 May, he will speak to pharma companies on how to reach the market faster and expedite product development with proven technology accelerators for all types of infusion, injection and inhalation devices. His presentation – “Transforming Drug Delivery” – will explain how to gain a competitive edge with human-centered design for customizable and user-friendly devices along with technology solutions that support global commercialization.

On 22 May, Welch will moderate a panel discussion of cutting-edge packaging experts on the “Importance of Connected Devices in Improving Patient Experiences.” This session will address the role of connected patient-use drug delivery devices in healthcare ecosystems.

Throughout InnoPack, Welch and other Phillips-Medisize executives will be at the company’s booth –A6 – to discuss the latest breakthroughs in drug delivery and to demonstrate how its innovative connected health solutions and powerful analytics are helping to improve patient engagement and adherence.

From device design, development and manufacturing to the company’s award-winning, FDA registered Connected Health Platform (CHP), Phillips-Medisize is transforming drug delivery around the world.

“Our primary business focus is on complex, regulated drug delivery devices and connected health solutions,” Welch said. “Together with our customers, we challenge and push the limits of product design and development to help transform the diagnosis and delivery of healthcare.”

Phillips-Medisize will also participate in a Packaging Leaders Roundtable – new at this year’s InnoPack – where top industry experts will deliberate critical areas of pharma packaging and drug delivery. The company’s thought-leaders will discuss opportunities to advance pharma packaging in India today and in the future.

Phillips-Medisize, LLC, a Molex company, is an end-to-end provider of innovation, development and manufacturing solutions to the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical device market segments. fiinews.com
