Chinese to deliver 69 coaches
China-made coaches will run on the Nagpur Metro, given the low manufacturing and steel costs which make the Chinese very competitive around the world.
CRRC Dalian is scheduled to supply 69 coaches and provide train maintenance services for 10 years to the Nagpur Metro, according to a report by Xinhua news agency on 24 Nov 2018.
An affiliate of top train manufacturer, CRRC Corp, CRRC Dalian signed the coach order with Nagpur Metro last year.
The stainless-steel coaches will run at a maximum speed of 80-km per hour on the 38-km urban rail lines.
CRRC Dalian develops, produces and exports diesel and electric locomotives as well urban rail cars.
Most of its exports are to emerging economies. fiinews.com
