Line completion by 2024-25
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved a new Railway Line between Bahraich and Khalilabad in Uttar Pradesh. The project is to cost about Rs.4,939.78 crore and will be completed by 2024-25.
The line will serve 5 districts of Uttar Pradesh including 4 aspirational districts (Bahraich, Balrampur, Shravasti and Siddharth Nagar) and Sant Kabirnagar
This project will generate direct employment during construction for about 57.67 lakh man-days
The Line will pass through Shravasti which is closely associated with the life of Gautam Buddha and is also an important tourist centre for Jains. fiinews.com
