Call on Belgian companies

#Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari has called on Belgian companies to participate in the #Sagarmala projects, inland waterways and development of industrial clusters.

He highlighted immense port and coastal shipping during a meeting with visiting #Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo in Mumbai on 7 Feb 2017.

The minister explained project schemes such as plans for developing inland water transport, cruise centres and smart-port industrial city.

De Croo led a Belgian delegation to further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in the maritime sector. Among the cooperation is JNPT Antwerp Port Training Centre, noted De Croo.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium recalled the expeditious steps taken by Government of India in setting up the, which is now functioning well.

Assuring full cooperation for developing Indian maritime sector, the deputy premier said further discussed in the forthcoming #Belgium-Luxembourg Economic Union (BLEU) meeting in May 2017.

Another Belgian delegation is also scheduled to visit India in November 2017. fii-news.com
