Mega food parks along #Sagarmala

ECU
The Ministry of Food Processing is implementing two mega food parks (MFP) in the Coastal Economic Zone (CEZ) at Kakinada and Southern Maharashtra to promote export and imports under the Sagarmala National Perspective Plan (SNPP).

The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Mega Food Park at Krishna, close to Vizagand Kakinada port, will draw its synergies from Vizag Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC) in North Andhra Pradesh. The project cost is estimated at Rs184.88 Crore.

The other project, Satara Mega Food Park is being set up in CEZ of South Konkan in Maharashtra with proximity to Dighi, Jaigarh and Marmugao Port. Estimated to cost Rs139.33 Crore, it is expected to be completed by February next year.

The Ministry is considering setting up other MFPs in the earmarked under the SNPP.
