Indian Railways is forming joint venture companies with different state governments which will further help in proliferating Railway Infrastructure across the nation.
Disclosing this, the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu said Indian Railways is working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software system which has been rated by some agencies as the largest such project anywhere in the world.
IR’s has an investment of Rs.8.56 lakh Crore for 2015-2019.
A number of initiatives have been taken for railway capacity development, such as Lines and Terminals, according to presentation made at a seminar on railways held June 23, 2016. fii-news.com
