The UK-based J+S Ltd is interested in the Indian market especially for its latest technology KraitArray, named after the banded sea snake, which is designed for use in maritime and ocean operations.
“We are looking to do business in India using local partners,” said Paul Knight, Vice President Strategic Accounts at J+S Ltd.
KraitArray was launched at the International Maritime and Defence Exhibition (IMDEX Asia 2015) which was held 19-21 May 2015 in Singapore.
KraitArray is one of the new technologies that J+S offer to end users especially managing operations in oceans.
Suitable for low speed towed or static applications J+S have made use of their knowledge and experience of larger diameter arrays to develop this highly adaptable product that provides impressive performance with reduced power consumption, weight, drag and cost when compared with traditional line and towed arrays. These benefits mean that KraitArray™ can be adapted and used for many platforms and applications including:
• Manned & unmanned vessels (surface and underwater)
• Harbour surveillance and protection
• Suspended/vertical array
• Marine mammal monitoring
• Torpedo defence systems
• ASW
• Environmental monitoring and vessel noise characterisation
• Asset monitoring and protection
• Condition monitoring
